Snippets in Fred

I’m sure that there’s a way to do what I want that I’m just managing to overlook, but is there a way to get snippets and plugins to work within Fred?

My example is: I would like a Fred element to contain a Wayfinder call in order to drop a menu into my page.

You have to set remote to true in your element options, even if you have no options. i.e.

    "remote":true,
}
