mSearch2 and MODX 3

Does anyone know if mSearch2 is compatible with MODX 3?

I used it for a 2.8.x site a few years back, I think it would be a great choice for a project I am working on.

As of a private conversation on the 19th October with the dev of mSearch2 the version for MODX3 is currently in beta development. Of course this is a month old news, so might have changed by now.
