MODX 2.8 seems to work perfectly with PHP 8.5

We often come to forums to complain or report issues… so this time, I come with praise

I recently upgraded one of my MODX 2.8.8 websites to PHP 8.5 and MariaDB 11.8.7 on a brand new server… :grimacing:

To my surprise… everything works perfectly fine.

No fatal errors, no white screens, no database issues.
Even some very old extras still seem to run correctly (apart from a few non-critical warnings in the logs).

Honestly, I expected a much more painful migration considering how old this website is.

So thank you to everyone who contributed to MODX over the years.
This piece of software is far more robust than many people think :clap: :clap:
