Manager error Resource ID not found

I can no longer access any of my resources in the manager for this site. They appear on the tree but when I try to access any other resources, I receive an error which the Resource ID is not found. I have attached a screenshot of this error plus I included text from my error log below. The site does display correctly on the web, however, I need to access the site to update it. Please help. Thanks

What did you do before this error occured?

It’s seems like you updated from an older version (lower than 2.7.0) of MODx and the column alias_visible wasn’t added to the database table on the update.

You could try adding this missing column manually (for example in phpMyAdmin) with the following SQL statement from this github issue.

ALTER TABLE `modx_site_content` ADD `alias_visible` TINYINT( 1 ) UNSIGNED NOT NULL DEFAULT '1' AFTER `alias` ;

My guess is that you skipped over an x.x.0 version (e.g. 2.6.0, 2.7.0, or 2.8.0) when you upgraded. Those are where any changes to the database are made. You may be missing other table fields as well.

Thanks for your response. Not sure about that, all I know is that I did not have any issues the last time I used the manager. I reran the setup and even downloaded this to my local server and still, the same issue continues. Any suggestions?

PS: Still using your book—my MODX Bible.

Solved! After re-reading the instructions for migrating, I realized that I copied the contents of the assets, core, components, and connectors to the site upgrade instead of just the core/components and core/packages/ folders. Thanks for all of your time.

Are you aware of the UpgradeMODX extra? It does everything for you, and suggests the appropriate version to install.

Hi @gunner1948 , just type in “UpgradeMODX” in Package Management, it should be there.
