I think I’ve commented on this subject before, but I’ll come back to capture new comments about it. Since I started my journey with MODX, I’ve always had difficulty with user role assignments/permissions in the manager with access to resources or not. However, for learning new users, it makes understanding a little more complex due to the many steps to completion, the ideal would be to have a friendlier extra/plugin, what do you think?
Mate the problem with your suggestion is the complexity of the process because you not only use permissions for frontend users, you can use them for backend, then you can restrict settings, files, resources, etc…
I think once you understand the process it’s quite simple but the good thing here is that you can go as complex as you want but build software to do that I think is a very complex jigsaw
