How to detect mobile devices

Today I wanted to install “modMobile”. But I couldn’t find it in the package management. “Mobile detection” is not there either. These packages are quite old. Maybe this is the reason.

I didn’t find anything in the forum or in the internet search on how to switch the template for a mobile device.
So I would be grateful for any hints.
I use modx 2.8.4

Try installing the packages manually.

Download them from here

and put the files in the core\packages folder.

Then in the manager under “Extras” → “Installer” click the arrow of the “Download Extras” button and select “Search Locally for Packages”.
