I have a client that could really use it, and but it is really unclear from their site what the status of it is. Anyone know?
I don’t know that the Extras.io Extras are maintained any longer or not. Do they really need complex automated publishing workflows or are they just looking for a way to stage content and get approvals before making the changes live? If so, you might consider Backstage in MODX Cloud. Here’s the overview and here’s Ryan doing a walkthrough with a slightly older version of Backstage.
My understanding is that the main benefit we’re trying to get out of it is how it makes setting the permissions easier.
@frankie_tech, I’m not sure about that. I’ve not tried to use it recently but have in the past and found it was fairly complicted still.

, I’ve just been tasked with finding out if the Workflow plugin is up to date for MODX3.
I think it might be worth asking whomever asked you to find out. There may be alternatives. You could contact Extras.io directly to find out if they are supporting it.
It SHOULD work with Revo for the most part but there may need to be some updates to have it work as designed.
