Does Google index the pages of the "Member Only" section?

I plan to make a section for “Member only” and each page will be optimized for SEO. I would like to know if Google will index the pages of this section?

There’s really no point in optimizing those pages for SEO at this point, since Google’s bot isn’t a member and can’t crawl or index them .

One solution is to show just the first paragraph or so to non members with a “Read More” button that encourages them to become members. Google will then crawl an index the abbreviated pages. It’s not trivial to implement, so it depends on how important it is to you to have them on Google.
