@SNIPPET binding in TV input

MODX 2.8.x

Has @SNIPPET binding been removed from template variable input option support? I am trying to follow this guide here:

https://docs.modx.com/3.x/en/building-sites/tutorials/multiselect-related-pages

and the instructions to add

@SNIPPET listMyResources {"parent":"9"}

Do not work. It looks like MODX ignores it and spits out the actual code:

MODX 2.8.x

I believe @SNIPPET was just introduce with MODX 3.
In MODX 2.x use a @CHUNK binding and put a snippet tag in the chunk.

@SNIPPET binding isn’t implemented on 2.x
