I learned about the Thumb3x component Thumb3x 3.0.6 | MODX and it looks great, also because the others present for MODX are quite dated.
I also use Image+ a lot, I wanted to know if TGhumb3x is recognized as a supported cropping engine, because when only Thumb3x is installed it keeps requiring a cropping engine.

Thumb3x is not (yet) supported by Image+.
I guess it probably wouldn’t be that hard to add the necessary code to Image+.
Another class (that extends AbstractCropEngine) would have to be added. Similar to the existing classes for PhpThumbOf, PhpThumbOn and PhpThumbsUp here:
I did take a look at Thumb3x some time ago. But I wasn’t able to find a (public) repository on Github for it. So it’s not clear where to report any issues that may occur.
Also when there is an error, the code seems to output some hard-coded russian text directly to the page, which I personally don’t like.
